Beer Madness: Call for reader panelists

The Washington Post’s eighth annual Beer Madness — a bracketed taste-off — is appproaching, and you know what that means: We’re in need of reader panelists.

As with last year’s event, our 2014 competition will feature 32 all-American craft brews. And our tasting panel will again include experts and readers.

So take your best shot, and do it promptly. Send an e-mail to with BEER MADNESS in the subject line. To be considered for one of the four designated reader slots, you must be able to attend tasting sessions on two evenings in early March at a location TBA in the District. Other requirements:

● Describe your qualifications and your passion for beer in a single, tightly constructed sentence. Humor is appreciated.

● List your three favorite domestic craft beers.

● Include your age and gender, and attach a photo of yourself that we could publish if we decide to. (File format: JPEG, under 1 MB in size.)

The deadline for submitting your panel bid is Wednesday, Feb. 26.
