Food calendar: Middle Eastern cuisine on the menu


WOMEN & WHISKY: Kayleigh Kulp, author of “Booze for Babes,” discusses whisky types and how to verbalize and understand their flavors. Features food from chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley and spirits from Becky Harris of Catoctin Creek Distillery, as well as a Q&A with all three women. 6-8 p.m. $45, including a copy of Kulp’s book.
