This week on our Home Front chat, interior designer Lena Kroupnik answered questions about giving your home a fresh look for spring. Here are some quick and inexpensive ideas:
● Pull up your shades, open your windows and breathe in the fresh air.
● Check your light bulbs and consider investing in LED bulbs.
● Bring in fresh flowers and greenery, and think about how you can reuse natural elements inside the home. Put branches in vases and let them bloom; they’ll give a room some height and freshness. “I am a big proponent of re-purposing. Got a tree down? Use a base for a table or a stool.”
● Consider paint, which can liven up a space: “Sometimes a fresh coat of paint is all your home needs,” Kroupnik said. “I try to repaint my home every five years.”
