Suzanne and Lauren McGrath, the mother-daughter duo behind the interior design company McGrath II, are firm believers that a little lighting can go a long way.
“Many home renovations wait until the end of the project to focus on lighting decisions, but in fact lighting should be prioritized early, as it is one of the most important elements in the room,” wrote the McGraths in an email.
The pair, who wrote the decorating book “Good Bones, Great Pieces: The Seven Essential Pieces That Will Carry You Through a Lifetime,” shared with us a few of their favorite lighting fixtures for a kitchen island or table.
