Takoma Park House and Garden Tour Takoma Park’s 40th annual tour, titled “From Pioneer to Present Day,” will showcase homes on Westmoreland, Elm, Pine, Montgomery and Hickory avenues. May 5, 1-5 pm. Capitol Hill House and Garden Tour The Capitol Hill Restoration Society will lead its 56th annual tour, titled “In the Shadow of the Capitol: Old Traditions, New Beginnings.” The tour features 12 homes on a 1.2-mile route. Georgetown Garden Tour The Georgetown Garden Club’s 85th annual tour showcases gardens and lawns throughout the D.C. neighborhood. This year’s tickets also include a tour of the private Dumbarton Oaks Garden of the Dumbarton Oaks Estate, a National Park Service property. Kentlands 2013 Home and Garden Tour The Kentland Gardens annual tour will benefit benefit the Kentlands Community Foundation, the Kentlands Garden Club, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund and the Rainbow House Shelter. May 11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. www.kentlands.org.$20 before May 1, $25 after May 2.

2013 Easton Kitchen and Garden Tour The Historical Society of Talbot County and the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in Maryland — Eastern Shore have teamed up for this year’s tour, which highlights six locations in and around Easton. Week of May 12

Clifton Charity Homes Tour, Marketplace and Silent Auction The 41st annual event will include four homes in the Clifton area, the Masonic Lodge in Clifton and the log cabin at the Paradise Springs winery. All proceeds support the Charitable Trust, which over the past seven years has distributed more than $160,000 to local charities and student scholarships. Tuckahoe Elementary Home and Garden Tour The 13th annual event is the primary annual fundraiser for Discovery Schoolyard, an outdoor classroom program. Shepherd Park Garden Tour The Shepherd Park Citizens Association will host its 9th annual self-guided tour of Shepherd Park, Colonial Village and North Portal Estates. May 19, 2-5 p.m. www.shepherdpark.org. $15.
