What: American Trail at the National Zoo

Where: 3001 Connecticut Avenue NW

When: The zoo grounds are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. through October; the last admission is at 7 p.m. American Trail feedings and training sessions are at 10:15 a.m. for the otters and 11:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for the seals and sea lions. At 1:15 p.m. there is a “keeper’s choice” feeding, which can feature any of the animals.

How much: Admission is free; parking is $16 for the first three hours; $22 for more than three hours. Parking Lot D, near the Kids Farm, is closest to American Trail.
