How to sign up for summer book club

The Summer Book Club is open to kids age 5 to 14. Children may read some or all of the books on our list. We’re on the honor system. We just want kids to enjoy summer reading, and we hope this helps. To join the club, children must be registered by a parent or guardian. To do that, send the child’s name, age and mailing address to kidspost@washpost.com. Parents, please include your name, phone number and the fact that you are giving permission for your child or children to join. Put “summer book club” in the subject line. You can also send the information to KidsPost Summer Book Club, The Washington Post, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20071. Every child who is registered will receive a beautiful bookmark designed by Lillie Rusch, 7, of Springfield.

At the end of the summer, we’ll publish the names of all the club’s members in KidsPost. If you do not want your child’s name printed in the paper, please indicate that when you register.
