What turned a century old in December? (Bigstock)

T ake out your pencils, KidsPost readers: It’s time for a quiz. (Your teachers did not put us up to this. Honest!)

We want to know if you remember some of the stories we ran in 2013. That may sound tricky, but this quiz is open-book: You can look at old KidsPost issues or search for stories online. (Always ask a parent first.)

The contest is open to kids ages 6 to 13. All entries must include your name, age, address and phone number and a parent’s permission to enter the contest. E-mail entries (only one per person) to kidspost@washpost.com with “news quiz” in the subject line by January 5 at 5 p.m. The winning entry will have the most correct answers. In the event of a tie for the most correct answers, a random drawing of those with the most correct answers will determine the winner. Answers and the name of the winner will be published in KidsPost on January 7 . The winner will receive a KidsPost prize package that includes four tickets to an upcoming Imagination Stage production, a game and books.
