“You know what? I very seldom do my own puzzles,” says puzzle maker Thom Spencer of Montgomery Village. Why? They’re hard. Just ask the retired microbiologist about one 35-piece set he thought would be a breeze. “It took me two hours to put it together,” he says with a laugh.
