Lots to do this warm weekend, including light displays. (Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

Oh the weather outside is... nearing 70 degrees? So it says for this crazed holiday weekend.

Although my family was planning to do festive things like ice skating and sipping hot cocoa by the fire, I think we’ll probably skip that and instead spend time on bikes, scooters and maybe another warm-weather activity or two.

Here are a few holiday happenings this weekend outside of the mall, and that don’t require snow.

Seasons of Light. The Smithsonian Discovery Theater will highlight the many different holidays and traditions observed this time of year.

DC Jazz Bops. Bring your children here to help introduce them to jazz. Children will hear stories about the genre, participate in artistic activities and learn about legends.

If you’re not Santa-ed out already, the Mansion at Strathmore is having its Santa brunch. So is the Kennedy Center.

Rocknoceros is having its annual holiday concert.

And if you skipped out on light displays because it’s just too darn cold after the sun goes down, this might be the time to hit Zoo Lights or Brookside Gardens, among others.

And, of course, there are bad weather activities as well.

And if you’re not finished shopping yet? Lots of these spaces have interesting gift shops, or gift certificates for everyone on your list.
