Amber Riley, Derek Hough win “Dancing With the Stars”

Amber Riley of “Glee,” with her professional partner Derek Hough, won the 17th season of “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday. Riley beat the other two finalists, Corbin Bleu and Jack Osbourne. Riley is Hough’s fifth partner to have won the Mirror Ball Trophy.

The pair won with a samba and quickstep. “Amber has really had a late surge in this competition,” writes TV Guide’s Liz Raftery. “A few weeks ago, I never would have said that she’d be the one to beat in the final.” Len Goodman, the head judge, told Riley that she was “absolutely bedazzling.” “You, my little sausage, are a fantastic dancer!” he said. The judges each gave Riley and Hough a perfect score.

Riley herself made reference to her weight after the victory. “It doesn’t matter what size you are, what color you are, you can do whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever you put your mind to!” she said, according to Access Hollywood.
