The grammy-winning blues artist, Buddy Guy, has had decades of hits, performed with B.B. King, influenced a countless many, including Jimi Hendrix, and is on record as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Legendary blues guitarist George "Buddy" Guy is being honored on Dec. 2 at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors. “He’s the link between Chicago’s rich blues history and Chicago’s blues future,” says City Alderman Bob Fioretti, who helped have the block in front of Buddy Guy’s Legends renamed in Guy’s honor. “Whenever I’m with him, he always credits the legends that came before him.
