TV highlights: A batch of season’s finales

RETURNING SHOW: The obstacle course competition “Wipeout” (ABC at 8 p.m.) returns for a sixth season with hosts John Anderson, John Henson and Jill Wagner and a new group of competitors to test out contraptions.

FINALE WATCH: “Community” (NBC at 8). Status: Unknown. The cult fave came back this winter with much fanfare — at least, to the small audience that watches. In any case, ratings have been low, and fans haven’t been thrilled with changes since the original showrunner departed, so it’s still a long shot to come back for Season 5. The show might know it, too: The finale is titled “Advanced Introduction to Finality.”

FINALE WATCH: “Two and a Half Men” (CBS at 8:30). Status: Renewed. The sitcom will officially return, although the half-man (Angus T. Jones, who bashed the show as “filth” last year) is still up in the air. (The network says he may return as a recurring star while he attends college.) As Season 10 wraps up, Hilary Duff guest-stars as Walden’s (Ashton Kutcher’s) date, but he finds he’s more attracted to her worldy grandmother (Marilu Henner).

FINALE WATCH: “Glee” (Fox at 9). Status: Renewed for Seasons 5 and 6. This show’s falling ratings raised questions about whether the musical comedy would be back, and then that wily Fox network went ahead and ordered two more seasons. Anyway, in the season finale, the focus is on the kids still at McKinley High as the glee club determinedly tries to advance to nationals. Meanwhile, Ryder finally discovers a clue about who has been “catfishing” him via text message.

FINALE WATCH: “Person of Interest” (CBS at 9). Status: Renewed. The second season of this show stayed steady, with Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson playing a former CIA agent and a mysterious billionaire who team up and use a special machine to stop violent crime. Unfortunately, the machine breaks down in the finale, and the duo joining with unexpected forces to fix it.

SERIES PREMIERE: Travel Channel launches “Monumental Mysteries” (at 9), which follows museum enthusiast Don Wildman as he goes around the country checking out monuments. He starts in New England.

RETURNING SHOW: The crew behind the family-owned security and private investigation company in Georgia is back for Season 2 of “Small Town Security” (AMC at 10). Now celebrities, members of the crew deal with community reaction to the show.

On the one-hour special “Nick Cannon’s Big Surprise” (E! at 10), the TV host surprises his grandparents — who helped raise him — with a home makeover.

Animal expert Jack Hanna is on “Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:35), along with actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

“The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (NBC at 11:35) hosts singer Shakira, podcaster Marc Maron and a performance by Tom Jones.

Actor Tobey Maguire, actress Kerry Washington and musical guest Will.I.Am are on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC at 11:35).
