PREMIERE: Bindi Irwin (daughter of the late adventurer Steve Irwin), 14, stars in the original movie “Return to Nim’s Island” (Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m.), taking over the lead role from Abigail Breslin, who appeared in the feature film in 2008. Now, Bindi plays Nim, a teen heroine who has to protect her island and its wildlife from evil real estate developers.

PREMIERE: One teen movie goes up against another as Selena Gomez returns to star in “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex” (Disney at 8), a one-hour special reuniting the “Wizards of Waverly Place” cast. The Russo family travels to Italy, but Alex (Gomez) gets carried away with her magical powers when she creates an evil twin.

Julius Caesar is featured in this season of “Spartacus: War of the Damned” (Starz at 9), and somehow, a new episode lands on the Ides of March. In the latest installment, Spartacus and Crixus argue about the best way to escape when their forces become trapped in a snowbound ridge.

PREMIERE: In the documentary “The World According to Dick Cheney” (Showtime at 9), producer R.J. Cutler profiles the controversial former vice president, starting with his early days in Washington, all the way through serving in the White House with President George W. Bush.

A power outage hits on “Touch” (Fox at 9), causing communication problems for Jake and Amelia, while Martin is forced to seek help from an old friend.

Filmed in Las Vegas, “Ron White’s Vegas Salute to the Troops 2013” (CMT at 10) features comedians including Josh Blue, Brian Regan and Kathleen Madigan paying tribute to those serving in the military.

The same week Matt Lauer does a sympathy-seeking interview swearing that Ann Curry being ousted from “Today” last year wasn’t his fault, Curry shows up on “Rock Center With Brian Williams” (NBC at 10) on a segment about women “having it all.” Curry interviews Erin Callan, former CFO of Lehman Brothers, about the controversial topic.

Late-night host Craig Ferguson stops by “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (NBC at 11:35), along with actress Vera Farmiga and musical guest Harper Simon.

“Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:35) hosts actor Seth Meyers, comedian Demetri Martin and an appearance by Dropkick Murphys.

Justin Timberlake wraps up his last night during his week in residence on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” (NBC at 12:35), which also features actress Hayden Panettiere.
