RETURNING SHOW: Ready for the obstacle course competition that resembles a game of musical chairs and has a truly great title? If so, “Oh Sit!” (CW at 8 p.m.) returns for Season 2 with hosts Jamie Kennedy and Jessi Cruickshank.

SERIES PREMIERE: The new drama “Defiance” (Syfy at 9) is described as a convergence between TV and online gaming, as what happens in the show will also be reflected in a game. Anyway, in the series, there’s a post-apocalyptic town called Defiance — which sits atop the ruins of what used to be St. Louis — and some groups of aliens arrive to cause trouble.
FINALE WATCH: Miniseries “Top of the Lake” (Sundance at 9, 10) wraps up as Robin continues to frantically search for pregnant 12-year-old Tui. And at the same time, Robin has to rush to find Tui before Matt is able to track her down.
SERIES PREMIERE: Host George Motz starts out on a noble quest on the new series “Burger Land” (Travel at 10) to find the most delicious hamburgers in the country, starting in Los Angeles. While there, he samples an old-school restaurant; a stand that serves a combo hot dog/hamburger; and Irv’s Burgers, which opened in 1950.
SERIES PREMIERE: The docu-series “Scam City” (Science at 10) features host Conor Woodman as he goes undercover around the world to look into the world of con artists by playing the role of “innocent” tourist. First up: Rio de Janeiro.
FINALE WATCH: “Dallas” (TNT at 9, 10) wraps up Season 2 as J.R.’s “master plan” is finally completed by the Ewings.
McGarrett has flashbacks about a past deadly mission when he and Catherine head to North Korea on “Hawaii Five-O” (CBS at 10); Jimmy Buffett makes a guest appearance, and Terry O’Quinn reprises his role as Joe White.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC at 11:35) hosts singer Jennifer Hudson, comedian Bob Saget and a performance by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
