Downtown hotel about 20 miles south of the amusement park with super-sized king suites. Nightly rates from $93.

Where to Eat

Fill up on standard (chain) theme park fare, such as Panda Express, Border Cafe and Boardwalk Fries. Guests in the WaterWorks cabanas can also order fries, sandwiches, burgers and more from the cabana host; from $3.99.

What to Do


Open daily through Sept. 5, noon to 8 p.m. during peak summer season. Admission included in Kings Dominion’s single-day entry fee: $49 online or $59 at the gate (less if you book at least seven days in advance). Ten private cabanas available for online booking; six open to walk-ups. Cost: $57.74-$110.24, depending on the day and month.
