Getting There

Penn’s Cave is about 200 miles from Washington. Take Interstate 270 north to U.S. 15 north. Just north of Harrisburg, Pa., take U.S. 22/U.S. 322 west until 322 turns into Pa. 144 near Centre Hall. Turn right on Pa. 192 and follow the signs to Penn’s Cave.

To reach the Ice Mine from Penn’s Cave, retrace your steps to Pa. 144 in Centre Hall and turn right on Pa. 45 west. Turn left on Pa. 26 in Pine Grove Mills. About 16 miles south of Huntingdon, turn left onto Pa. 994. Follow the signs to the park and the Ice Mine.
