New York’s snow belt: How to get there and where to stay

Getting there

The quest for snow started in Binghamton, N.Y., then moved to Syracuse and ended in Fulton. Binghamton is about 300 miles north of Washington. Head toward Baltimore, and take Interstate 695 north to I-83 to I-81. Syracuse is about 70 miles north of Binghamton on I-81. For Fulton, drive another 30 miles northwest on Route 481.
