To find the snowiest cities in the country, we looked deep into the Golden Snow Globe — at data from the National Weather Service. Here are the top 10 destinations (with populations of 100,000 or more) boasting the most white stuff, plus total snowfalls for the 2011-12 winter season through Feb. 9.

1. Anchorage, 103 inches

2. Lakewood, Colo., 67

3. Denver, 51.4

4. Fort Collins, Colo., 46.2

5. South Bend, Ind., 41.3

6. Erie, Pa., 36.5

7. Grand Rapids, Mich., 32.2
