South African Airways is offering sale fares on direct flights — with a short refueling stop in Dakar, Senegal — from Washington Dulles to Johannesburg. Round-trip fare is $985, including taxes, for travel Jan. 15 through March 31. SATA Airlines has package deals to Madeira, the Portuguese island off the coast of North Africa. Package starts at $1,609 per person double, including round-trip airfare from Reagan National to Funchal, Madeira, connecting through Boston; six nights at Baia Azul Hotel; breakfasts; and taxes. JetBlue Getaways is taking 50 percent off the base airfare of packages booked by Dec. 3. Choose from destinations in the United States, the Caribbean and Mexico.
