● Preferred Hotel Group is offering a free third night at 13 hotels in Europe and Africa for stays through Sept. 10. The properties are in eight countries, including Austria, Italy, Morocco and Madagascar. Prices vary. ● Six hotels in Puerto Rico are offering up to 40 percent off rates during Hotel Week Caribe, held Aug. 1-31. Prices and savings vary per property. For example, a room at El Convento, a former Carmelite convent in Old San Juan, costs $150, plus about 29 percent taxes and resort fee.
