In honor of California declaring surfing the official state sport, United is waiving surfboard fees for passengers traveling to or from the Golden State. The new rule applies to surfboards, wakeboards and paddleboards flying on United and United Express flights starting or terminating at any California airport. The savings: $150 to $200 each way.
