l Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties, which include Sheraton and Westin, are offering a Pay Your Birth Year promotion. Pay the regular rate for the first night and your birth year for the second night (for example, $55 if born in 1955; taxes extra). Some participating properties are also offering a third night at the special rate. For example, at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, pay from $129 (plus $19 taxes) for the first night and your birth year for the second and third nights. ID is required. l Adults pay kids’ rates on select whitewater rafting trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. The Feel Like a Kid Again promotion from Far and Away Adventures is available on five departures in May, June, August and September. Prices vary by departure date and itinerary. For example, a three-night trip starting May 28 is now $1,575 per person single or double (plus $47 tax), a savings of $200. l Air New Zealand is offering sale fares to the South Pacific’s Cook Islands. The nonstop fare from Los Angeles to Rarotonga is $848 round trip, with taxes; fare on other airlines starts at $1,440. Add-on airfare from Washington Dulles is also available. Total round-trip fare from Washington starts at$1,215; fare on other airlines starts at $2,360. Depart by Aug. 5. l American Airlines has a sale on flights to the Caribbean and Bermuda, with departures from all three Washington area airports. For example, round-trip fare, with taxes, from Reagan National to St. Croix starts at $415; from Washington Dulles to San Juan, from $251; and from Dulles to Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, from $455. l Air Pacific, Fiji’s international airline, is discounting flights from Washington Dulles to Nadi, Fiji. l Premier River Cruises is offering discounts on three European holiday market trips.
