Group offering personal training scholarships for veterans

by Lenny Bernstein

You’re young, you’re fit, you’ve served your country and, like many vets, you’re having trouble finding a job now that you’re back home. What about personal training?

The American Council on Exercise announced last week that it would offer 1,000 scholarships to help vets become trainers. The scholarship covers study materials, registration for the ACE certification exam and one-on-one study assistance.

Those who pass are guaranteed interviews with Anytime Fitness and Town Sports International fitness clubs. Applications will be accepted online at www.acefitness.org/military beginning Thursday.
