D.C. police said a holdup was reported early Sunday in the vicinity of the Washington Navy Yard.

Two masked men displayed a gun during the robbery just outside the walls of the Navy facility, the site of last Monday’s mass shooting.

According to a brief preliminary report, the robbery occurred about 3:20 a.m. on Ninth at M streets SE. The intersection is just outside one of the iron gates in the red brick wall that surrounds the Navy Yard.

The robbery was one of 10 reported Sunday, police said, and one of three in which a gun was displayed.

It was not clear what was taken in the holdup outside the Navy Yard, and no detailed description of the robbers was given.

After the holdup, the robbers drove west in a dark-colored vehicle, according to the police report.
