A segment of Lee Highway in Arlington is expected to remain closed all day Sunday due to an early morning crash.

Arlington police said traffic is stopped in both directions between George Mason Drive and Culpeper Street. The crash also caused a power outage.

Police said a car flipped over and hit a utility pole on Lee Highway at around 5:40 a.m. The driver told police he swerved to avoid hitting something on the road, causing the car to flip.

No other vehicle was involved, and no one required hospitalization, police said.

Dominion Power said service was expected to be restored between 1 and 5 p.m.
