FBI: Suspect had been living in Alexandria area since March

Suspected shooter James Hodgkinson died at the hospital of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, FBI special agent in charge Tim Slater said at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Slater said the alleged shooter had been in the Alexandria area since March and living out of a white cargo van near East Monroe Street. He asked local residents to share with the FBI any information about their interactions with Hodgkinson.
