3 hurt in Montgomery bus crash

(Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service)

A crash involving a Montgomery County Ride On commuter bus and as many as nine other vehicles Monday sent three motorists to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, fire and police officials said. The wreck occurred about 1:30 p.m. in the area of Rockville Pike and Nicholson Lane.

The bus was not carrying passengers, according to a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. The wreck involved about 10 vehicles, including the bus, the spokeswoman said. Details about what caused the crash were not immediately available.
