4 stabbed near Pr. George’s college campus

Four people were stabbed and one was critically wounded near Prince George’s Community College in Largo Tuesday after a fight broke out on campus and spilled into an adjacent neighborhood, county police said.

Police said a student at the college was being physically assaulted on the campus by four assailants about 1:30 p.m., and fled from the campus to the 10000 block of Campus Way South, to get help.

However, police said, the assailants found their way there and a “group fight” broke out.

All of the four people stabbed there were taken to hospitals, said police spokesman Harry Bond. The student who had originally been assaulted on campus was not a stabbing victim, Bond said.

He said the assailants fled in an auto and remained at large.

The address where the stabbings occurred is about a half mile west of the campus.
