Alley 43 and Church St., 1:54 p.m. Feb. 5. Two men robbed a pedestrian in an alley of a wallet at knifepoint.


Crain Hwy., 1100 block, 11:12 a.m. Feb. 6. A woman robbed a bank at gunpoint, then fled in a sport-utility vehicle. At 11:24 a.m., the vehicle was located in Bowie, in a church parking lot in the 16500 block of Annapolis Road. The motorist refused a police order to leave the vehicle, then drove away. Disabled by stop sticks, the vehicle was abandoned at the intersection of Crownsville Road and Route 450. After a brief foot chase in which a K-9 unit was deployed, a 40-year-old Bowie woman was arrested. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of a dog bite.


Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., 7600 block, 9:45 p.m. Feb. 3. A male wearing a mask threatened a clerk and robbed a convenience store of cash.

Benesch Cir., 7900 block, Feb. 1. A man was arrested in connection with a Jan. 28 incident in the 7800 block of South Hampton Drive, during which a motorist was shot while fleeing the scene of an attempted robbery. A Glen Burnie man, 23, was charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, attempted robbery and other offenses.

Ritchie Hwy., 6600 block, 3:56 p.m. Feb. 2. A man identifying himself as a maintenance worker forced his way into a motel room and robbed an occupant of cash. A short time later, a man in possession of a gun and the stolen property was found hiding beneath a truck in a parking lot across the highway from the motel. A Baltimore man, 26, was arrested.


First St. E., unit block, 1:45 p.m. Feb. 4. Police were alerted to the presence of a man who had followed an employee into a high school through a door near a loading dock. After finding a gun holster in his vehicle, police conducted a search of the man’s nearby home and seized several firearms. A former student at the school, a 25-year-old Glen Burnie man, was charged with trespassing. An investigation that was to include a mental health evaluation was ongoing.


Ritchie Hwy. and Aquahart Rd., 8:31 a.m. Feb. 6. A man got out of a vehicle that had stopped near a pedestrian and committed a lewd act.


Furnace Branch and Point Pleasant roads, 2:13 a.m. Feb. 3. Police saw a Ford Crown Victoria displaying what appeared to be police strobe lights pull into a convenience store. The vehicle was not a police vehicle, and its extra lighting system and a police scanner were confiscated. An Arnold man, 23, was arrested on charges that included impersonating a police officer and driving while intoxicated.


Hammond Lane, 1100 block, 12:30 p.m. Feb. 5. In two separate incidents, a male student armed with a knife threatened students at a school. An Odenton male was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school property and two counts of threatening students. A folding knife with a three-inch blade was confiscated.


New Freetown and Freetown roads, 8:09 p.m. Feb. 3. A man who implied that he had a weapon robbed a male pedestrian of cash and a pair of shoes.


George Clauss Blvd., 4:12 p.m. Feb. 4. A man in a store parking lot grabbed a woman’s purse, then tried to force her into a vehicle. After a brief struggle, he fled empty-handed in the vehicle driven by an accomplice. At 4:35 p.m., two men, one of whom was wielding a tire iron, tried to rob two people in a parking lot at the Arundel Mills mall in Hanover. They fled empty-handed in a Nissan Maxima. At 5:13 p.m., two males, one armed with a tire iron, robbed a man of a cellphone in the 7600 block of Arundel Mills Boulevard, then fled in a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle used in the two earlier incidents. At about 5:30 p.m., the vehicle was located at a marina in the unit block of Old South River Road in Edgewater. Two Glen Burnie men, ages 29 and 31, and a 30-year-old Baltimore man were arrested on robbery charges and for related offenses.

Bay Ridge Ave., 1000 block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 23 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Two credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Bristol Dr., unit block, 11 p.m. Jan. 30 to 8 a.m. Jan. 31. A crossbow, a global positioning system device and a backpack containing hunting accessories were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Forbes St., 200 block, 2 p.m. Feb. 2 to 9 a.m. Feb. 4. Cash, a check and credit card receipts were stolen from file cabinets at a business. There was no sign of forced entry.

Hanover St., 200 block, 5 p.m. Jan. 30 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 31. A gym bag containing clothes was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Hilltop Lane, 200 block, 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Feb. 2. Two handbags, two digital media players and a camera were among property stolen from two vehicles.

Wainwright St., unit block, 6 p.m. Jan. 30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 31. A parka was stolen from a vehicle entered with no sign of force.

West St., 900 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 29 to 7:30 a.m. Jan. 30. Four wheels and tires were stolen from two vehicles.


Greenbriar Lane, 600 block, 8:20 to 8:25 a.m. Feb. 3. A silver 2004 Buick Century was stolen from in front of a residence using a key that had been left inside.

Guilford Rd., 8600 block, 3:56 to 4:05 p.m. Feb. 5. A man armed with a butcher knife robbed a pharmacy of DVDs and over-the-counter medication.

Windstream Dr., 10000 block, 9:12 p.m. Jan. 31. A gunman robbed a woman as she was getting out of a vehicle.


Bird Song Pass, 10800 block, 3:38 p.m. Feb. 6. An attempt was made to break into a residence by forcing a rear window. Nothing was reported missing.

Hickory Ridge Rd., 10400 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5. A TV, a video game console, jewelry, video games, clothes, shoes and DVDs were among property stolen from an apartment.

Lark Brown Rd., 8100 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 1 to 7 a.m. Feb. 4. Three vehicles were broken into at a plumbing business yard entered by cutting a hole in a gate. Nothing was reported missing.

Margrave Mews, 5700 block, 2:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 6. Jewelry, a video game console and a tablet computer were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a basement window.

Setting Sun Way, 7400 block, 7:48 p.m. Feb. 2. A man entered an occupied residence through an unlocked front door. After being asked to leave several times, he fled empty-handed. A short time later, police responding a report of disorderly conduct arrested a man at a restaurant in the 8600 block of Guilford Road. A Columbia man, 25, was arrested on charges that included fourth-degree burglary, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Thunder Hill Rd., 5300 block, 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 4. Jewelry and cash were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.


Plaited Reed, 6200 block, 8 p.m. Feb. 5 to 6:48 a.m. Feb. 6. A 2004 Mazda was stolen.


Rockledge Ct., 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Jan. 31. A flat-screen TV and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence.


Dorsey Run Rd., 8300 block, 7:10 a.m. Feb. 4. A black 2001 Ford F-250 truck was stolen.


Lotus Cir., 4100 block, 2:45 to 4 p.m. Jan. 31. A residence was broken into by forcing a door from the garage accessed with an opener stolen from a vehicle earlier that day in a church parking lot. Nothing was reported missing.

Old Frederick Rd., 8400 block, 2:36 p.m. Jan. 31. Two people were seen taking metal items from a yard at a residence. An Ellicott City woman, 42, was charged with fourth-degree burglary, trespassing and theft. A 16-year-old female also was arrested.

Wheaton Way, 3200 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 to 2:30 a.m. Feb. 6. Two laptop computers and four watches were stolen from a residence entered through a second-story balcony door.


Anderson Ave., 6400 block, 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 1. Jewelry and silverware were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a back door.


Guilford Rd., 10900 block, 9:38 p.m. Feb. 2. A lot at a business was entered by cutting a gate chain. Nothing was reported missing.


Washington Blvd., 8100 block, 10:45 p.m. Feb. 1. An attempt was made to steal a motorcycle.


Canterbury Riding, 9000 block, 1:30 a.m. Feb. 4. A man wearing a mask approached a male standing outside a residence and robbed him of cash at gunpoint.


Foxborough Dr., 8800 block, 6:19 a.m. Feb. 4. A silver 2007 Saturn Ion was stolen.


Stiles Way, 3100 block, 7 to 7:20 p.m. Feb. 6. A residence was entered by breaking glass in a back door. The premises were searched and property was damaged, but nothing was reported missing.
