Broadview Blvd., 1300 block, 12:38 p.m. April 17. Anne Arundel County police received a 911 call from a man who said, “I’m from Boston and I’m going to blow some more stuff up.” The call was determined to have been made from a cellphone at a residence in the 1300 block of Broadview Blvd. A Baltimore man, 59, was arrested and charged with false statement of a destructive device, telephone misuse and arson threats. His residences in Ferndale and Baltimore were searched; andno bomb-making materials or other evidence of terrorism were found.


Glen Ridge Road,1:39 a.m. April 17. A taxi picked up a man and a woman in the area of Glen Ridge Road. The man put a gun to the driver’s head and robbed him of cash. The passengers fled in a vehicle.gray Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra. driven by another man; the car had pulled up in front of the taxi during the robbery. he taxi driver followed the other car to Furnace Branch and Pleasantville Roads, where he lost sight of it. Five suspects were arrested April 18.

Rippling Ridge and Glen Ridge roads, 11:32 p.m. April 14. Three male teenagers robbed a male pedestrian of personal items and fled.toward Furnace Branch Road.

Ritchie Hwy., 6700 block, 11:15 p.m. April 16. Six males assaulted and demanded property from a man in a parking lot. They knocked him to the ground with his own walking stick and fled on foot.


Evelyn Ave. and Hammonds Ferry N., 1:26 a.m. April 18. A cab driver picked up two males and a female. One male drew a knife; the other drew a gun. They robbed the driver of cash, keys and cellphone, then fled in a waiting gray sedan driven by another At 1:45 a.m., a detective spotted a sedan occupied by three males and two females. A knife and BB gun were found in the vehicle. A Pasadena man, 22, a Chester man, 29, a Glen Burnie man, 43, and two Glen Burnie women, 32 and 26,were arrested and charged with robbery. The 29-year-old man was served with a warrant for parole violation in Queen Anne’s County. The 32-year-old woman was served with a warrant for motor vehicle theft in Howard County. All were additionally charged in connection with the April 17 cab-driver robbery on Glen Ridge Road.

HIT AND RUN fatality

Mountain Road and Alvin Drive, 9:25 p.m. April 12. A Ford Expedition struck a girl, 13, and a boy, 15, walking on the shoulder; it continued on Mountain Road. A third pedestrian, a 13-year-old girl, was not injured. The two who were struck were taken to hospitals with serious injuries. The girl was treated and released. The boy, identified as Skylar Marion of Pasadena, died of his injuries April 15. Anyone with information is asked to call the Traffic Safety Section at 410-222-8573.

Gentry Ct., 1-99 block, April 12. A man was seen pulling on car door handles. Police arrested an Annapolis man, 25, for having an open alcoholic beverage. He was found with a GPS device, a digital camera and other items that were determined to have been stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Silopanna Road. The man was charged with theft.

Halsey Rd.,400 block, 8 p.m. April 15 to 2 p.m. April 16. An unlocked vehicle was entered.and the glove box was rifled. Nothing was reported missing.

Heritage Ct., 1-99 block, 5 p.m. March 5 to 7 a.m. March 6. A generator was stolen from a van entered by forcing a door lock.

Janwall Ct., 1-99 block, 5 p.m. April 12 to 6:30 a.m. April 13. Tools were stolen from a work van entered by breaking a front passenger-side window.

Melrob Ct., 1-99 block, 1:40 to 2:30 p.m. April 11. An apartment door lock and latch were damaged.Entry was not gained.

Porter Dr., 100 block, Sampson Pl., 1-99 block, and Wainwright Dr., 1-99 block. 10 p.m. April 15 to 1 a.m. April 16. A police officeron patrol noticed a dome light on in a vehicle and saw that the doors were unlocked and the console was open. The officer checked the area and found five more vehicles that appeared to have been entered. Nothing was reported missing.

President St.,1000 block, 8:45 a.m. April 17. Three males were seen entering a home through a rear window. Three Annapolis males, all 15, were charged as juveniles with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, theft and trespassing. Two were taken to a youth facility. One was placed on house arrest.

Tyler Ave., 1400 block, 8:30 p.m. April 12 to 2:30 p.m. April 14. A home was entered by prying open a back door. Furniture, floors and clothes were vandalized with bleach and nail polish.

Wardour Dr., 200 block, 7 p.m. April 5 to 7:30 a.m. April 8. An unlocked vehicle was entered.;Items were disturbed, but nothing was reported missing.


Baywind Dr., 1000 block, 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. April 13. A black, gray and white camouflage2007 Honda Ruckus scooter was stolen.from a parking spot.

Blue Heron Lane, 5400 block, 12:33 a.m. April 14. About 10 people, one displaying an electronic shock device, threatened a pedestrian and demanded property. The pedestrian suffered a minor injury in a struggle before the group fled empty-handed. A male, 14, was charged with attempted robbery.

Columbia Rd. and Little Patuxent Pkwy., 1:32 a.m. April 13. Two males assaulted a boy and took his cellphone. The boy was taken to a hospital.

Early April Way and Skyrocket Ct., 8:26 p.m. April 11. Two acquaintances assaulted and robbed a male of cash and a cellphone.

Harpers Farm Rd., 5600 block, 8:45 p.m. April 16. A female in a parking lot asked two males to walk her home. One of the males agreed and was attacked by several boys, who took his wallet, cellphone and keys. He had minor injuries.

Little Patuxent Pkwy., 10300 block, 8:51 p.m. April 12. A man was punched in the head by a male acquaintance as they got off a bus. The acquaintance demanded money, but the man refused. He suffered a laceration.


Cartersville Rd., 9200 block, 9:27 a.m. April 11. A glass pane in a residential back door was broken.Nothing was reported missing.

Fairest Dream Lane, 6400 block, 12:30 to 4 p.m. April 13. Lawn care tools were stolen from a garage entered though an unlocked door.

Gerwig Lane, 9400 block, 10:15 a.m. April 11. A burglary was reported at a business. A man, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary and a weapons charge.for carrying brass knuckles.

Guilford Rd.,8900 block, 3 p.m. April 12 to 6:35 a.m. April 15. Copper pipe, cable and a heat gun were stolen from a business.entered by smashing a front window with a rock.

Wandering Way, 9500 block, 10:42 p.m. April 13. A rear sliding door was opened at a home. A resident heard noises, but did not see anyone. Nothing was reported missing.


Linthicum Rd.,4400 block, 6:30 to 11 p.m. April 12. A barn was entered by breaking a lock on a door. A tractor was started and left running.


Old Waterloo Rd., 6800 block, 6:32 a.m. April 14. A gunman and another male robbed a newspaper carrier sitting in a parked car. They fled behind a school with a wallet and watch.


Washington Blvd., 6300 block, 4:09 a.m. April 14. A glass door was broken with a rock at a gas station.A steel door prevented entry to the interior.

Washington Blvd., 6300 block, 4:21 a.m. April 14. Cash and bottles of nail polish were stolen from a nail salon entered by smashing glass in a front door.with a rock.


Washington Blvd., 7300 block, 4:30 a.m. April 14. A tan2002 Ford Explorer was stolen.


Old Columbia Pike, 3700 block, 9 a.m. April 16. Two rings were stolen from a jewelry box at a home.An acquaintance is suspected.


Hanover Rd., 6500 block, 4:30 p.m. April 12 to 6:37 a.m. April 15. Two work trucks with attached trailers loaded with property were stolen.from a business lot.entered by cutting a hole in the fence. A dump truck blocking the gate was moved by popping the ignition.


Hanover Rd., 6500 block, 4:30 p.m. April 12 to 6:37 a.m. April 15. A 2008 Ford F-250 and a 2008 Ford F-350 were stolen.


Assateague Dr., 7300 block, 3:24 a.m. April 15. A tobacco shop window was broken with a rock.Entry was not gained.

Assateague Dr., 7300 block, 2:54 a.m. April 17. A cellphone store was entered by breaking glass in a front door.with a rock. Cabinets containing phones and earpieces were rifled. Nothing was reported missing.

Good Harvest Ct., 8900 block, 6:49 p.m. April 13. A vacant home was entered through a rear sliding door.Nothing was reported missing.

Sherwick Ct., 8300 block, 5 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. April 13. Metal was stolen from a business yard entered by cutting a fence.


All Saints Rd., 9200 block, 9:21 p.m. April 11. A bicyclist with a knife demanded cash from a female . walking to her vehicle. The female ran to her vehicle and drove off. A Laurel man, 22, was arrested.


Washington Blvd., 9400 block, 1 a.m. April 13. A flooring company’s property was entered by cutting a fence.The area that was entered contained a scrap trash receptacle. Nothing was reported missing.


All Saints Road , 12:39 a.m. April 15. A yellow and black 2003 moped was stolen.


Wetherburn Rd., 10300 block, 9:33 p.m. April 16. Three people robbed a business owner who was carrying a grocery bag full of cash into his home. while another resident/business owner checked the mailbox. The robbers fled in a vehicle.driven by another person.
