Dorsey Rd., 300 block, 4:32 p.m. Sept. 11. A man exposed himself inside a work van at a park. A Columbia man, 57, was arrested.


Colonial Knoll, 6400 block, 10:38 p.m. Sept. 7. A man working as a tattoo artist inside a residence was struck in the leg by gunshot, one of several shots said to have been fired from an area across the street. An investigation has not determined whether the residence was targeted. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.


Aquahart Rd. and Cayer Dr., 8:20 p.m. Sept. 6. After a man demanded property from him at gunpoint, a pedestrian ran toward Crain Highway, where a vehicle suddenly pulled out in front of him, running over his foot. The gunman fled empty-handed.

Hancock Lane, 7700 block, 8:20 p.m. Sept. 6. A male threatened a woman in front of an apartment building, then took her purse and ran to a waiting vehicle.

McGuirk Dr. and Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., 5:22 p.m. Sept. 10. While walking his dog, a male teenager argued and fought with an acquaintance, who then took possession of the pet. The animal later was recovered by its owner.

Norfolk and Oakley Roads, 11:44 p.m. Sept. 9. A male asked a pedestrian for a cigarette, then robbed him of property at gunpoint.

Old Mill Rd. and Patriot Lane, 9 p.m. Sept. 8. Two males threatened a teenager on a bicycle, then fled with a cellphone.


Country Club Dr., 100 block, 11:50 p.m. Sept. 8. A male broke into a residence and, when confronted, grabbed a shirt to cover his face and threatened a woman at knifepoint. He then fled with the shirt.


Laurel-Fort Meade Rd., 3300 block, 11:53 p.m. Sept. 6. Two men robbed a fast-food restaurant of cash at gunpoint.


Goldsborough Dr., 100 block, 12:38 a.m. Sept. 13. A motorcycle was stolen. After a brief chase, a Capitol Heights man, 21, was arrested. Charges included theft, burglary and rogue and vagabond.


Fort Smallwood Rd., 8400 block, 6:45 p.m. Sept. 9. A customer in a barber shop saw a man standing near his truck. When he went outside to get something from the vehicle, the man robbed him of cash at gunpoint.

Medgar Evers St. near Frederick Douglass St., 11:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. A 27-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Prince George’s County Hospital Center. A 22-year-old man was in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. An investigation was continuing.


Madison St., 1000 block, 1:30 a.m. Sept. 7. A group of six people demanded cigarettes from a pedestrian. When he refused, they punched him and robbed him of cash.

Taylor Ave., 500 block, 3 a.m. Sept. 8. A man who had hailed a cab on Dock Street robbed the driver of cash at knifepoint at this location, then fled on foot. A 21-year-old St. Mary’s County man was charged with robbery and first- and second-degree assault.


Chesapeake Ave., 800 block, 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 to 7:45 a.m. Sept. 6. A laptop computer and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Church Cir., unit block, 7 p.m. Sept. 9 to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 10. Cash was stolen from a desk at a business entered through a window.

Forest Dr., 1400 block, 4 p.m. Sept. 5 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9. A commercial air-conditioning unit was stolen from a building.

Kent Rd., unit block, 1:45 to 6 a.m. Sept. 9. Two wallets were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Old Solomons Island Rd., 200 block, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8. A red mountain bike was stolen from a bike rack.

Prince George St., 100 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 11. A woman tried to enter a residence through a window. An occupant chased her and was able to detain her for police. A Galesville woman, 43, was charged with fourth-degree burglary and trespassing.

Spa View Ave., 100 block, Sept. 7 to Sept. 8. A side door was kicked open at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Tyler Ave., 800 block, 8 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Sept. 7. A residence was entered by kicking in a basement door. Nothing was reported missing.

West St., 1100 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 6 to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 7. Eleven catalytic converters were stolen from new vehicles in a parking lot surrounded by a fence.

Second St., 300 block, 4 p.m. Sept. 6 to 7 a.m. Sept. 7. An inflatable dinghy was stolen from a dock.


Hilltop Lane, 200 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 7 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8. A red-and-black 2006 Yamaha R6 motorcycle was stolen from a parking lot.

Little Patuxent Pkwy., 10300 block, 2:29 a.m. Sept. 6. Police saw two men rob a person in a parking lot at gunpoint. A Randallstown man, 28, and a Columbia man, 31, were arrested.

Tamar Dr., 8300 block, 8:19 p.m. Sept. 11. Three men, two wearing masks, entered a residence through an unlocked door and demanded prescription medicine from an occupant at gunpoint. The intruders fled with medication, electronics and a pair of sneakers.


Columbia Rd., 5100 block, 8:15 p.m. Sept. 10. Cash and a cellphone were stolen from a clubhouse entered by damaging a back door.

Green Dragon Ct., 11200 block, 11 p.m. Sept. 12 to 4:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Cash, a gift card, a sweatshirt and keys were stolen from a residence. The keys were used to steal a vehicle, which was recovered at 6:20 a.m. at Green Dragon Court and Willowbottom Drive.

Hickory Ridge Rd., 10300 block, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7. Three laptop computers and a digital media player were stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a door.

Red Branch Rd., 9100 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 7 to 5:40 a.m. Sept. 8. A key to a storage trailer was stolen from an office in a business entered by breaking glass in a side door. A window of a work-van in the parking lot was broken. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

Swift Stream Pl., 10300 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 4 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 6. An attempt was made to break into a residence by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

Columbia Crossing Cir., 6200 block, 9:45 p.m. Sept. 6. A black 2011 Kaitong motor scooter was stolen.

Dobbin Center Way, 6400 block, 12:32 a.m. Sept. 9. A 1999 International 4700 Rollback tow truck was stolen. It was recovered on Southwestern Boulevard near I-95 on Sept. 7 with a stolen Ford F-550 on its bed. That vehicle’s engine was missing. The Ford had been reported stolen in Reisterstown on Sept. 8.


Green Tree Ct., 8000 block, noon Sept. 4 to 10 a.m. Sept. 8. A vacant house was entered by removing a basement window. Nothing was reported missing.

Lawyers Hill Rd., 8300 block, noon Sept. 6 to 10:45 a.m. Sept. 7. A snow thrower, two generators and two gas cans were stolen from a shed.

Marshalee Dr., 6000 block, 3:38 a.m. Sept. 9. Police responding to a report of glass shattered in the front door of a nail salon found a man carrying a TV from the premises. The TV and a money bag from the salon were recovered. A restaurant and another hair salon in the same block also had been broken into. A Patterson, N.J., man, 53, was charged with several counts of breaking-and-entering.


Washington Blvd., 7100 block, 9:19 a.m. Sept. 7. Two Nissan Altimas were stolen. They were recovered that same day in in a wooded area near Montevideo Road.


Deer Trail, 2800 block, 11:45 p.m. Sept. 7 to 7:45 a.m. Sept. 8. Two purses were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked sliding-glass door.

Frederick Rd., 15800 block, 12:54 a.m. Sept. 8. Glass was broken in a door at a gas station. Nothing was reported missing.

Montgomery Rd., 7100 block, 2:12 p.m. Sept. 12. A police officer saw a suspicious vehicle parked near a vacant house that had been burglarized in the past. A man was found inside with several tools in his possession. A man, 51, of no fixed address, was charged with first-degree burglary.

Old Frederick Rd.,13000 block, 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 12. The front door was kicked in at a residence, triggering an alarm. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 40, 8000 block, 5:30 a.m. Sept. 8 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9. Equipment, tools and office supplies were stolen from three trailers at a construction site.

Willow Lane, 2800 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7. Coins and a jewelry box were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.


Browns Bridge Rd., 7200 block, 3 a.m. Aug. 21. Cash was stolen from a car parked in a garage at a residence.

Ten Oaks Rd., 3900 block, July 16-Sept. 12. A generator, power tools, jacks and silver coins were stolen from an automotive service center. There was no sign of forced entry.


Washington Blvd., 9800 block, 3:26 a.m. Sept. 11. Electronics and car audio accessories were stolen from a business. At 2 a.m. Sept. 12, an attempt was made to break into the business by tampering with the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Waverly Mansion Dr., 2300 block, 9:21 a.m. Sept. 8. An attempt was made to break into the Historical Waverly Mansion by forcing a basement door. Nothing was reported missing.
