Wendover Rd., 1-99 block, 8 p.m. July 22. A handgun, $2,369 in cash, and a 2002 BMW were seized along with suspected powder cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and marijuana with a combined value of approximately $16,000 during the execution of a search warrant at a residence. A Glen Burnie woman, 23, and a Reisterstown man, 31, were arrested.

Seventh Ave. near Kuethe Rd., 12:28 a.m. July 25. A patrol officer approached a suspicious vehicle. Two occupants got out and walked way. A handgun was visible on the floor of the vehicle. A Pasadena man, 27, and a Glen Burnie man, 23, were arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm and handgun in vehicle.


Mary Ct., 200 block, 5:15 p.m. July 1. A male teenager entered a home through a back door and demanded money from a resident at gunpoint. He took cash and jewelry. A Glen Burnie male, 17, was arrested July 16 and was charged as an adult with robbery, burglary and related offenses.

Ritchie Hwy., 7300 block, 2 p.m. July 17. A man passed a note to a bank teller announcing a robbery and fled with cash in a green Buick driven by a woman. Police said they observed a suspicious Buick at Crain Highway and Georgia Avenue that committed several traffic violations, including a minor accident at Route 3 and Cronson Boulevard in Crofton. A Fort Washington man, 46, and a Fort Washington woman, 55, were taken to a hospital and later charged with multiple offenses.


Somerton Ct., 7100 block, 11:15 p.m. July 22. A woman stabbed a female relative with a knife while arguing over the use of a shared vehicle. A Hanover woman, 23, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Her relative was taken to a hospital with a stab wound that was not considered life-threatening.


Arundel Mills Cir., 7000 block, 7:45 a.m. July 21. A man with a knife tried to take a woman’s purse from her while she was waiting for an elevator at a casino. He fled without obtaining the purse or injuring the woman. He then approached a woman sitting in a parked vehicle and robbed her of cash. A Bowie man, 32, was arrested July 22. He was charged with armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault and related charges.


Russett Common, 3500 block, 8:17 a.m. July 22. A woman sitting in her vehicle observed a man enter the driver’s side and rummage through the center console. When the woman yelled at him, the man ran to a waiting vehicle, which turned out to be a rental vehicle from out of state. Police in Bowie later found the vehicle in a hotel parking lot. Two hotel rooms and the vehicle were searched. Property was recovered linking a group of four Fort Lauderdale, Fla., men to multiple thefts from cars in Virginia and Missouri. One, 23, was charged with rogue and vagabond and attempted theft. The second, 22, was charged with rogue and vagabond, conspiracy to commit theft, and false statement to police. The third and fourth, 24 and 29, were charged with rogue and vagabond and conspiracy to commit theft.


Chapelview Dr., 700 b lock, 9:15 p.m. July 23. Three males, two with handguns, approached two men and a woman outside and demanded property. One male shot one of the men in a lower extremity. Another man was injured, possibly by bullet fragments. The males fled with property. The men who were injured were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening injuries. The following day, a suspicious vehicle was stopped at Chapelgate Drive and Waugh Chapel Road. The driver was first arrested for possession of marijuana. Further investigation led to charges related to the robbery. A Severn man, 22, was charged with three counts each of attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, and related charges. Police believe the incident was targeted.


Moonfall Ct., 7700 block, 3:39 a.m. June 22. A man hit a male acquaintance in the head with a baseball bat several times during an argument that began in the parking lot of a bar and ended at their home. A Pasadena man, 33, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and related charges. The man who was struck was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Madison St., 1100 block, 3:30 p.m. July 16. A cab driver had dropped off a fare when a male pedestrian walked up and hit him in the face. He said he heard a gunshot and felt a pain in his foot, causing him to believe he had been shot. It was later determined that the foot injury was from a medical condition. Police do not believe a gun was involved in the assault.

Tyler Ave., 1300 block, 6 p.m. July 20. At least two shots were fired, one striking a vehicle. An Annapolis man, 21, was arrested the following day and was charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony, and reckless endangerment. On July 23, a second Annapolis man, 28, was arrested and charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony, reckless endangerment, handgun on person, discharging a firearm and four counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm.


Brightwater Dr., 100 block, July 16. A robbery was reported. On July 23, three suspects were arrested. An Annapolis male, 17, was charged as an adult with robbery, first-degree assault, four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, four counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft. Two 15-year-old males were charged as juveniles with the same offenses. The investigation is continuing.


Ashford Ct., 1-99 block, 8 p.m. July 17 to 2:30 p.m. July 20. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Bay Ridge Ave., 1800 block, 5 p.m. July 20 to 7:30 a.m. July 22. A safe inside a business was moved and tampered with. There was no sign of forced entry.

Breakwater Dr., 900 block, 1:30 to 8 a.m. July 18. A bicycle was stolen from the bed of a pickup truck. It was located in the 1-99 block of Bens Drive.

Brightwater Dr., 100 block, 11 p.m. July 23. A man was seen trying to enter a locked, parked vehicle. An Annapolis man, 24, was arrested and charged with rogue and vagabond.

Bunche St., 1-99 block, 2 p.m. July 18 to 6:15 p.m. July 20. A locked shed was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Chelsea Ct., 1-99 block, 9:15 p.m. July 17 to 5:30 a.m. July 18. Two bikes were stolen from a back yard.

East St., 1-99 block, 1 p.m. July 20 to 9:40 a.m. July 21. A tablet computer was stolen from a home entered through an unlocked bathroom window.

Edelmar Dr., 1-99 block, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 19. A laptop computer and a digital camera were stolen from an unlocked residence.

Forest Dr., 1700 block, 11:50 a.m. July 20. An unsecured bike was stolen from in front of a business. A police officer saw a child riding it in the 800 block of Betsy Court. A male, 13, was charged as a juvenile with theft and destruction of property.

Forest Dr., 1800 block, 2 to 4 a.m. July 23. A commercial storage lot was entered by cutting a hole in a fence. Locks were cut off six storage sheds and 13 vehicles were entered by force. Property valued at $38,000 or more was stolen.

Hearthstone Ct., 1-99 block, 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. July 19. Two video game consoles, games, a safe containing cash and jewelry, and prescription medications were stolen from an apartment entered by forcing open a front door.

Heritage Ct., 1-99 block, 7:30 p.m. July 19 to 2:30 a.m. July 20. A cellphone was stolen from a home entered by forcing open a front window.

Hunting Wood Rd., 1400 block, 11 p.m. July 19 to 7:30 a.m. July 20. A pair of sunglasses was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Quiet Waters Pl., 100 block, July 19. An Annapolis man, 20, was arrested in connection with six vehicle break-ins on Quiet Waters Place on July 15. He was charged with six counts of rogue and vagabond and one count of theft.

Skipjack Ct., 600 block, noon to 8 a.m. July 19. Cash and CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Spa Rd., 1000 block, 9:30 p.m. July 18 to 4 a.m. July 19. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Some contents were recovered in the 400 block of Merryman Road.

Spa Rd., 1000 block, 9 p.m. July 18 to 7:30 a.m. July 19. A pair of earbuds was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

State Cir., 1-99 block, 6 p.m. July 18 to noon July 19. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a front window.

Tyler Ave., 1300 block, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 18. Two flat-screen TVs, a DVD player, two game consoles and a laptop computer were stolen from an unlocked residence.


Lincoln Ct., 1-99 block, 2 a.m. July 23. A white 2007 Ford Econoline E150 van was stolen and used in a burglary in the 1800 block of Forest Drive.

Merryman Rd., 400 block, 11 p.m. July 21 to 8:20 a.m. July 22. A brown 1986 Yamaha Venture Royale 1300 was stolen.

Howard County

Broken Land Pkwy., 9700 block, 8:29 p.m. July 23. A boy punched a female in the face and took her cellphone. The female yelled for help, and the boy dropped the phone and ran off with another boy and girl. Two Columbia males, 13 and 15, were arrested.

Cloudleap Ct., 8700 block, 7:50 p.m. July 22. Two males entered a cellphone store with their faces covered and forced customers toward the back of the store. One pointed a gun at a clerk and took three phones from behind the counter. The second pointed a gun at another clerk and took cash from a register.

McGaw Rd., 8800 block, 3:10 p.m. July 19. A woman handed a note to a credit union teller demanding money. The teller told her that cash was not kept at that location. The woman took back her note and fled in a Honda Accord.

Wild Turkey Lane, 5400 block, 12:59 p.m. July 23. Two males demanded a male acquaintance’s phone and sunglasses on a bike path at gunpoint. The acquaintance pushed the gunman’s arm and ran to an open garage, where a resident let him call 911. A Columbia male, 17, and a Baltimore man, 20, were arrested and charged with robbery and weapons offenses.


Columbia Rd., 5300 block, 1 p.m. July 8 to 3:54 p.m. July 20. Multiple TVs, a DVD player, two tablet computers and jewelry were stolen from a home.

Columbia Rd., 5400 block, 11 a.m. July 21 to 12:44 a.m. July 22. Two tablet computers, shoes, a video game console and a laptop computer were stolen from a ground-level apartment entered through a patio door. There was no sign of forced entry.

Daystar Ct., 10200 block, 9 a.m. to noon July 24. A video game console was stolen from a home. There was no sign of forced entry.

Farbell Row, 6600 block, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 19. Two pistols, jewelry and savings bonds were stolen from a house entered through an unlocked rear window.

Encounter Row, 6100 block, 1:18 p.m. July 24. A home was entered by forcing open a window screen and exited through a rear sliding door. Nothing was reported missing.

Gramercy Pl., 10600 block, May 14 to July 17. A vacant apartment was entered and the shower was used.

Guilford Rd., 8900 block, 6 p.m. July 17 to 10 a.m. July 18. An exterior light was broken at an office complex and a rock was thrown through an office window. A laptop computer was stolen by reaching through the hole.

Guilford Rd., 8600 block, 11:24 p.m. July 18. An attempt was made to enter a business by tampering with a window screen and removing screws from the window. An alarm was triggered, and a male was seen running from the scene.

Light Point Pl., 6200 block, 8 p.m. July 19 to 5:45 a.m. July 20. An unlocked vehicle was entered in a garage. Nothing was reported missing.

Rivendell, 5200 block, 2:30 p.m. July 19. A dirt bike was stolen from an apartment patio. The apartment was exited through the front door.

Thicket Lane, 6500 block, 11 a.m. July 22. A male was seen looking into cars and residential windows. He walked between homes wearing a shirt over his face and tried to force open a gate, but he fled when he realized he was being watched.


Gerwig Lane, 9300 block, June 5 to July 23. A 2006 Nissan was stolen.

Happy Heart Lane, 6800 block, 6:30 p.m. July 17 to 7:02 a.m. July 18. A blue 1969 Chevy Corvette was stolen.


Monticello Dr., 14000 block, 1 a.m. July 16. A neighbor approached four or five teenagers hanging out on the basement steps of a residence while the homeowner was away. The teenagers ran inside the house, and the neighbor chased them out the front door. There was no sign of forced entry.


Loudon Ave., 6300 block, 11:19 a.m. July 23. Two men knocked on a door and tried to open it when nobody answered. A few minutes later, one opened an unlocked side window. A witness yelled at them, and they fled in a silver sedan driven by a female.

Troy Hill Dr., 700 block, 5 p.m. July 23 to 5:55 a.m. July 24. Pry marks and evidence of tampering were found around a bay door at a furniture warehouse. Entry was not gained.


High Ridge Rd., 10100 block, 2 p.m. July 19. A man tried the knob on a residential front door. A resident banged on the door, and he fled.

Ilchester Point Ct., 4900 block, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 22. Three laptop computers, an electronic reader, a mailbox containing coins and two pillowcases were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a back door.

Tuscany Rd., 10200 block, noon July 20 to 12:30 p.m. July 23. A pane of glass on a rear sliding door was broken.


Sharp Rd., 3900 block, 8 a.m. July 20 to 2:30 p.m. July 24. Pry marks were found on a barn/workshop door. Entry was not gained.


Washington Blvd., 8100 block, July 17 to July 18. A white 2005 Dodge Caravan was stolen.


Gordon Ct., 9300 block, 5:44 p.m. July 18. A residential front door was damaged.

Moonshine Hollow, 9000 block, 1 to 8:40 p.m. July 23. Jewelry, a notebook computer and a tablet computer were stolen from an apartment possibly entered by breaking the lock on a front doorknob.

Pineway Dr., 8500 block, 6:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. July 18. A handgun was stolen from a home entered through an unlocked rear kitchen window.

White Ct., 10400 block, 11 a.m. July 23. Cash, jewelry and electronics were stolen from a home entered by prying open a side door. A family member reported a well-dressed male asking for a resident who was not home and hearing a loud noise.


Bourbon St., 9100 block, 10:05 p.m. July 20. A red 2006 Acura RSX was stolen.

Canterbury Riding, 9400 block, 9:40 a.m. July 20. A blue 2009 Lexus was stolen.


Old Frederick Rd., 8600 block, 9:53 p.m. July 23. An attempt was made to steal a recreational vehicle.
