AUN J Classic Orchestra Closing Concert: Eight young musicians play classic Japanese instruments in the closing concert of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Cherry Blossom Photo Safaris, Cherry Blossoms by Land and Sea: A workshop in travel photography and camera use, using the morning sun on the cherry blossoms along Hains Point and Ohio Drive from the Potomac River. 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. $89 per person; $25 for accompanying non-photographer. Japanese Exhibitions and Events: Three exhibitions of Japanese art as well as a full range of free public and kids’ programs related to Japan and Japanese art and culture. Smithsonian Freer and Sackler Galleries, 1050 Independence Ave. SW. Metro: Smithsonian (Blue and Orange).
