Body found in Prince George’s County

A body was found on the median of U.S. Route 50 in Cheverly on Monday morning, and authorities are working to determine the person’s identity, police said.

Maryland State Police said they received a call from the State Highway Administration at about 10:20 a.m. regarding the body, which was found in the area of Route 201 on Kenilworth Avenue. Troopers and medical personnel responded, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said they could not immediately identify the person. They said an autopsy will be conducted to determine how the person died.
