One person was fatally stabbed Sunday evening during an altercation in the Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County, the police said.

They said the victim, described only as male, and a second person had been in the altercation with a group of others near Brightseat Road and Central Avenue.

Each of the two was stabbed about 6:30 p.m., and after the attack they drove to Meadow Way in the Landover area, where one died, the police said. He was found in the 300 block of Meadow, they said.

The second stabbing victim, also described only as male, suffered wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
