The death of an 80-year-old woman, who died in a fire allegedly set by her husband has been ruled a homicide by the D.C. Medical Examiner’s office, D.C. police said Monday.
Lucille Proctor died Feb. 13 inside her three-story rowhouse in the 4600 block of 4th Street NW, in the Petworth area. The medical examiner’s office made the homicide declaration on Friday. Police charged her 76-year-old husband, Robert Proctor, with arson in the case on April 1..
Police officials said investigators are reviewing the case to determine whether additional charges will be filed against him.
