Alexandria man charged in domestic stabbing incident

A 44-year-old Alexandria man was charged Wednesday with malicious wounding after authorities alleged he stabbed a man in an apparent domestic dispute.

Thomas Russo, 44, is accused of stabbing a man with whom his ex-girlfriend was romantically involved in an incident that occurred about 5 a.m. in the 2500 block of N. Van Dorn Street. Crystal Nosal, an Alexandria police spokeswoman, said the man was critically wounded, though she did not know the incident’s precise details.

Police said Wednesday that Russo, who lives in Alexandria, was being held without bond.
