ANNAPOLIS AREA
ROBBERIES

West St., 2000 block, 11:23 a.m. March 4. Two males were dropped off at a jewelry store by the driver of a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu or Impala with a rear spoiler. One man entered the store with a handgun, then fled when the business owner grabbed a shotgun. The gunman and his accomplice fled in a vehicle. Nothing was reported taken.

SEVERN AREA
ROBBERIES

Baltimore and Annapolis Rd., 8200 block, 8:01 p.m. March 1. A male told a liquor store employee he had a weapon and intended to rob the store. The employee activated an alarm. The man fled. Nothing was reported taken.

DEATHS

Bestgate Rd., 700 block, 12:19 p.m. Feb. 28. The body of Diane Donati, 48, of unknown address, was found in a ravine in a park. A preliminary ruling after an autopsy indicated she died of hypothermia.

Annapolis

WEAPONS

Newtowne Dr. and Juliana Cir., 7:35 p.m. March 2. Police officers stopped the driver of a vehicle in connection with a traffic violation and discovered a loaded pistol in a door pocket and about 60 grams of marijuana in the trunk. A Lothian man, 38, and an Elkridge woman, 29, were arrested and charged with several drug and firearm violations.

ASSAULTS

Tyler Ave., 1400 block, 8:45 p.m. March 1. A report alleged that someone was being held at gunpoint and shots had been fired. Police could not locate a victim or suspect. At 9:15 p.m., a male was admitted to a hospital and said he had been stabbed in the leg at the listed location. The case was under investigation.

ROBBERIES

Copeland St., 1800 block, 4:30 a.m. March 2. A man and a pregnant woman who was in labor were held at gunpoint and robbed of their vehicle. The robbers abandoned the vehicle at Tyler Court after a chase, during which a gun was thrown from the vehicle. A Glen Burnie man, 24, and a District man, 44, were arrested and charged with several counts of robbery and assault. The woman was taken to a hospital.

Hilltop Lane, 200 block, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 27. A gunman came out of a wooded area near an apartment building and robbed a woman of her wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Stonecreek Rd., 1300 block, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 to 9 a.m. March 1. DVDs and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Tiburon Ct., 1-99 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 28 to 8 a.m. March 1. A pair of sunglasses and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Route 665 near Godspeed Way, 7:52 p.m. March 4. A stolen 2008 Acura TL was seen being driven. The driver attempted to evade police but lost control at Interstate 97 and Route 3. After a foot chase, an Annapolis man, 19, and a 17-year-old Annapolis male were arrested and charged with the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The adult was also served with an arrest warrant.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Clarksville Pike, 12500 block, 6 p.m. March 4 to 5 a.m. March 5. Tools and copper were stolen from a school entered by cutting a fence.

ROBBERIES

Columbia Rd., 5600 block, 12:30 a.m. March 3. A male robbed a female of a purse, phone, cash and ID outside a residence.

Robert Oliver Pl., 5800 block, 11:15 p.m. March 3. A male pushed a female and took her driver’s license and cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Beechwood Dr., 6400 block, 11:51 a.m. March 3. A residence was entered by breaking a front door.

Beechwood Dr., 6400 block, 7:40 a.m. March 4. One day after a break-in at a residence, a man tried to enter the home by forcing a front door. An Ellicott City man, 38, was arrested and charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and theft.

Five Fingers Way, 5300 block, 9 a.m. March 5. A male entered a home through an unlocked door, then fled after being confronted by a resident.

Stevens Forest Rd., 6200 block, Feb. 24 to March 4. Copper piping was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a front door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Alderleaf Pl., 5700 block, 9:09 a.m. Feb. 28. A silver 2011 Volvo XC90 was stolen after it was left with its engine running.

Swift Stream Pl., 10400 block, 10:09 a.m. Feb. 28. A blue 2012 Ford Escape was stolen after it was left with its engine running.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chatfield Lane, 7700 block, 9:19 a.m. Feb. 28. A front door was found damaged at a home.

Kaitlins Ct., 2200 block, 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. March 2. Cash was stolen from a home.

Montgomery Rd., 4200 block, 1:18 a.m. March 2. Tools were stolen from a business entered by breaking a rear window.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Perri Dr., 8300 block, 4:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 28. Purses were stolen from a home entered by forcing open a bedroom window.

Washington Blvd., 9200 block, 2 p.m. March 3 to 7 a.m. March 5. Air conditioner coils were stolen from a business lot entered by cutting a fence.

WEST FRIENDSHIP AREA
ROBBERIES

Frederick Rd., 12700 block, 12:40 p.m. March 1. A male, who said he had a gun, robbed someone of cash outside a store. The robber fled with another male.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Frederick Rd., 12900 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 28 to 9 a.m. March 1. A residence was entered by kicking a basement door. Copper piping was damaged.
