Apartment fire in Mt. Pleasant; some injuries

D.C. fire officials said they are investigating an apartment fire that broke out early Friday in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Northwest Washington.

The Fire Department said on Twitter that the blaze was in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant Street NW. Three people were taken to hospitals. Some injuries were minor, and others were serious.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, fire officials said.

About 30 people have been displaced as a result of the fire.
