District police said they are looking for the driver of a dark gray Honda Accord after the vehicle allegedly struck a bicyclist who was riding Thursday night near Union Station.

The male bicyclist, who was apparently riding a red bike from Capital Bikeshare program, was traveling east in the 200 block of H Street NE around 9:48 p.m. when he was struck by the car, police said. The driver of the car did not stop and left the scene, continuing east on H Street NE, according to D.C. police.

The Honda was a four-door car, but police said they did not have the license plate number.

The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital and suffered serious injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.
