A 20-year-old Centreville man has been charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a neighborhood acquaintance to death over the weekend following an altercation, Fairfax County police said.

Sebastian Velasco Santiago of the 14400 block of Golden Oak Road was arrested Wednesday in the killing of Domingo Eduardo Santiago Cuchil, 20, of no fixed address in Centreville.

Police declined to discuss what led to the altercation or a motive for the slaying, but said Cuchil was found lying on the sidewalk in the 14400 of Golden Oak Road about 11 p.m. Saturday night. Officers were called to the scene for a report of an assault with a weapon. Cuchil was suffering from a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital, where he died Sunday.

At the scene, police were alerted that there was possibly another man wounded in the altercation in the nearby 14400 block of Cool Oak Lane. They found the unidentified 31-year-old man and he was taken to a hospital. He was treated and released. Santiago has not been charged in his wounding.
