Metro trains along the Red Line have resumed service at the Cleveland Park station after firefighters treated a woman who authorities said jumped in front of a train Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred about 1:20 p.m. on the line headed toward downtown Washington, according to a Metro spokesman. The trains were single-tracking and going through the station, but not stopping.

Normal service resumed about 2:30 p.m.

The adult woman was reported to be conscious and breathing, according to Metro.
