D.C. police investigate apparent homicide in Southeast

D.C. police are investigating the shooting death of a man Saturday night. Police responded to the 2700 block of Langston Place, SE, just off Suitland Parkway, at about 11:58 p.m.

Officer Paul Metcalf, a police department spokesman, said the unidentified man was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds when police arrived. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Metcalf said police are continuing to look into the circumstances of the man’s death.
