D.C. police seek help identifying two persons of interest

D.C. police announced Friday that they had arrested and charged a District man in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred last month. Shabazz Thompson, 20, was charged Thursday with robbery by force and violence.

Police say they are still investigating the initial incident, which happened during the early hours of Oct. 17 in the 800 block of 1st Street NE. They are looking for another person of interest and have posted a video on YouTube (http://youtu.be/Qp-YyPOLBbM) in asking for the public’s help in identifying this person.

In addition, police are also asking for help in identifying a person of interest in an armed robbery that occurred on Oct. 3 in the 5100 block of Georgia Avenue NW. Police posted a video on YouTube (http://youtu.be/n6dSioBqAoo) and are asking for aid in finding and identifying the person in the footage.
