A 54-year-old man was killed Saturday when his motorcycle struck a curb near Annapolis just after midnight Saturday, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Forrest Andrew Williams was traveling south on Green Holly Drive passing Ramblewood Drive when he struck the curb at the center median and lost control of his motorcycle, which went down on its side, police said. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, and they said that Williams was wearing an unsafe helmet.
