Five wounded in shooting outside strip club in Northeast Washington

Correction: Due to incorrect information supplied by police, an earlier version of this story incorrectly said the shooting occurred outside the Stadium Club. The incident was about a block away, in an area that is home to several clubs. This version has been corrected.

Three men and two women were shot and wounded early Saturday in Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

Police said the shooting occurred about 2:55 a.m. near the corner of Queens Chapel Road and Adams Place NE, in an area that is home to several clubs.

Officer Hugh Carew, a D.C. police spokesman, said the group was outside when a suspect began shooting at them. The victims were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, he said

Police did not have a description of the shooter. No motive for the attack could be immediately determined, police said.
