A nightclub owner and former George Mason University basketball star pleaded guilty Friday to a marijuana conspiracy charge, federal prosecutors said.
Jason Miskiri, 39, of Silver Spring, pleaded guilty in court in Greenbelt to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana, the U.S.Attorney’s Office in Maryland said. That quantity of marijuana would weigh more than a ton.
The prosecutor’s office said Miskiri is to give up an interest in the Society Restaurant & Lounge in Silver Spring.
Miskiri starred for George Mason for at least two seasons, and played in one NBA game for the Charlotte Hornets.
