A 4-year-old boy drowned in a private pool in McLean over the weekend, Fairfax County police said.
The child from Silver Spring was attending a party at a home in the 900 block of Douglass Drive on Saturday, police said. Officers were called to the home around 9:10 p.m. for a reported drowning. Another child saw the boy in the pool.
Officers located the boy in the backyard, where adults were performing CPR, police said. The boy was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police did not release the boy’s name.
