Police in Prince George’s County said they are looking for a coin thief who stole $100,000 worth of gold and silver coins in Laurel.

The coins were stolen Monday from a business in the 8000 block of Cherry Lane. Police said someone broke in between 2 and 4 a.m. The coins include ones from Australia, China and the United States. One is known as an “Australian nugget series” with a kangaroo on it, another is an “Australian lunar series with a snake.” Another coin has a Canadian maple and another has Chinese pandas on them.
